What We Do.
The Indigenous Health Circle (IHC) is an inclusive planning body supported by BANAC that is made up of Indigenous health service providers, health professionals, Indigenous communities, and various organizations in Simcoe County, Muskoka and surrounding areas.
Working collaboratively, the IHC supports the interests of both rural and urban-based communities, including on and off reserve First Nations.
The committee members plan and take action towards the greater collective good of Indigenous health consumers and improve Indigenous health status of communities in the region.

In addition to the organizations listed above, the IHC is inclusive of mainstream partners with Indigenous-specific mandates or services. These partners include the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Program, Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care, Simcoe Muskoka Public Health Unit and Chigamik Community Health Centre.
As the health services adapt and change, BANAC and the IHC committee members work collaboratively with our Indigenous communities members and regional organizations to ensure inclusion in planning meaningful and impactful initiatives that support our IHC Committee commitment.

Biinoojinsag
Biinoojinsag is a committee of front-line workers supporting parents with children 0-6 to ensure services, referrals & supports within the Indigenous community.
