What does this program do?

Maapii Enjii Zaagi Gaazwad is an early intervention children’s program created by BANAC. In Ojibway, it means “A place where they are looked after, loved, and taken care of. This programs serves families with young children 0-6 years living in Midland, Penetanguishene, Tiny and Tay Townships

We provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating gathering place for Indigenous Children and families where they can access a variety of programs and services.
Ensure every child has a sense of belonging when he or she is connected to others and contributes to their world.
Maapii Enjii Zaagi Gaazwad is an Indigenous Child and Family Centre that is connected to Friendships Centres, Native Women’s Groups and Métis centre’s to support all the needs of our Indigenous Children and families;
We create a warm, welcoming environment where our Indigenous world views and values are protected and respected.
We also support the cultural and linguistic needs of Indigenous Families.
We provide programming that is rooted in Indigenous knowledge, language and culture to cultivate and support positive relationships between Indigenous parents/caregivers and their children in a wholistic, welcoming and warm environment.
